I have an Honours (Level 8) degree in Holistic Counselling and Psychotherapy from ICPPD. I work in a Humanistic Integrative Approach. This means that I’m person-centred, and that I draw on several theories and modalities including CBT, Psychodynamics, Rogerian, Gestalt and others. I like to work with clients to find the way that suits them best as an individual.
I’ve come to understand and trust each individual’s inherent wisdom. Everyone has a tendency to move forward and an ability to find what they really believe are the best solutions for their challenges. The core of any therapeutic process is the relationship between counsellor and client. It’s a relationship built on trust, respect, and importantly mutual cooperation to work towards what’s best for you, the client. It’s important to never lose sight of this, and I hope that you will be met in a space where you can feel heard, a space that’s empathetic, understanding, and always accepting of whatever you choose to bring to therapy.
Before joining Midlands Counselling Clinic I volunteered and was briefly assistant manager of Good2Talk, Mullingar. I also provide counselling as part of the team in TUS Midlands, Athlone Campus.
