Hi, my name is Sharon Deering. I am a qualified, IACP accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I hold a BSc (Hons) Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy (First Class); a Professional Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy; a Professional Certificate in Couples Counselling; a Professional Certificate in CBT; a Diploma in Personal and Business Coaching and an IITD Certificate in Training and Development. I have also completed the HSE Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.
I have a successful record of working with couples, assisting them in navigating their way through presenting difficulties, supporting them in being heard and understood. Often these issues seem impassable, but we work together with honesty and respect to find a way forward. Together we dismantle the walls of hurt, pain and resentment, improving communication skills and providing them with tools and strategies to assist in restoring, repairing and strengthening the relationship, if that is their desired outcome. I also work with individuals who are having challenges within their current relationship or who are dealing with the end of a relationship.
I pride myself on establishing a safe, secure place for every client and couple, where they are free to be themselves and can give voice to every doubt or fear. I welcome every client or couple as they are and help them to establish what matters most to them, supporting them in living an authentic, meaningful life in accordance with their values.
I believe we are born with a light which burns brightly within us, where our potential is unlimited but sometimes along life’s path, that light grows dim. Sometimes we create walls around ourselves, protecting us from emotional and psychological pain, avoiding our feelings because we fear they will overwhelm us with pain or discomfort. These walls protect us at the time but eventually they become our prison, constricting and limiting us. Trying to change can be difficult, particularly if we are doing it alone. There is no need to walk that journey alone, I will walk it with you, supporting you and dismantling the walls, at your pace, until your light shines once more. We are hard-wired for connection and when we feel that disconnect within our relationships, the pain is very real and all-consuming. Every client and couple matter a great deal to me.
If you are tired of feeling disconnected, lost, sad, scared, hurt, anxious, fearful, guilty or angry and need support or help in moving forward, give me a call on 087 6687339 or message me via the message box at the top of this page. I promise to walk with you every step of the way. It is time to step forward and find your joy.
