Midlands Counselling Clinic does not currently operate as an out of hours emergency service.
If you are in crisis now please contact The Samaritan’s 24 hour/7 day service on 116 123 (free call) or call your GP or GP out of hours service. The 24 hour emergency services are available to you by calling 112 or 999 if you require urgent medical assistance now.

Pieta House
Pieta House provides a professional one-to-one therapeutic service to people who are in suicidal distress, those who engage in self-harm, and those bereaved by suicide. All of their services are provided free of charge and no referral is needed.
Aware
Aware provides free support services to individuals experiencing depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and other mood-related conditions, as well as to those concerned about a loved one. Support is available through their Support Line, Support Mail, and daily Support & Self Care Groups.
Alcoholics Anonymous Ireland
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
Athlone (Midlands) Rape Crisis Centre
The Athlone (Midlands) Rape Crisis Centre provides a free professional counselling service to both males and females who have experienced rape, sexual abuse, or any other form of sexual violence.
Esker House Athlone
Esker House Women’s Refuge and Domestic Abuse Service provides temporary safe accommodation for women and their children and support information for women experiencing domestic abuse.
Men’s Aid Ireland
Men’s Aid Ireland is the only dedicated national service supporting men and their families experiencing Domestic Violence including coercive control in Ireland. Our professional and qualified support team have years of experience in supporting men and families experiencing domestic abuse.
LGBT Ireland
Supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
Alone
Supporting older people who are socially isolated, homeless, living in poverty or crisis and support them to age at home. It offers befriending, housing support, support co-ordination and technology.
Citizens Information Board
The Citizens Information is a statutory body which supports the provision of information, advice and advocacy on a broad range of public and social services.
MABS (Money Advice Service)
MABS is the Irish money advice service, helping people deal with problem debt for over 25 years. They offer free, confidential, and independent advice to support individuals in managing their money and regaining control of debt, available online, by phone, and face to face.
